Workshop Description:

This hands-on course will feature many forms of designing and fabricating sculptural cast jewelry. It will explore model making using the lost wax method as well as working with clay and silicone. Refractory  mold making, cleaning and detailing the molds will also be a focus of this class. The projects will be cast with a variety of glass types and the firing schedules for each process will be covered. Students will create cast pendants and  bracelets and will learn how to size and form the bracelets. Cold working and finishing techniques will also be part of this innovative workshop. This class is for beginning to intermediate students with basic fusing knowledge.
